The Sky Pool Staycation Ipoh Didn't See Coming: Inside The Stallionz
19 August 2026 · Mana Mana Team
A rooftop pool guarded by sculpted stone faces, a painted mountain-view deck, a family room that sleeps four and a co-working floor with limestone hills out the window — a food creator's tour of The Stallionz Ipoh, plus a 30% off code for the first 50 bookings.
“I Always Thought Ipoh Stays Were Ordinary”
That is how food creator chihuokz.my opens the reel — and the drone shot that follows makes the counter-argument for her. Seen from above, The Stallionz wraps around a manicured courtyard garden: sculpted hedges, dandelion-shaped light installations, a circular water feature ringed by benches, all framed by crisp white residential blocks. It reads more like a resort landscape than a city-centre stay, and that is before she even gets to the roof.
The Sky Pool With Ipoh's Hills on the Horizon
The headline act is the rooftop pool. Two giant faceted stone faces stand guard over the mosaic-tiled water, colourful floats stacked at the edge, with the city skyline visible through the parapet. Around the corner, a second deck is painted in swirls of green, pink and yellow, with birdcage-style cabanas in lime and yellow — and past the white railing, Ipoh's limestone hills fill the horizon. “The view is really open,” she says. “You take in the whole mountain landscape. It genuinely feels like a holiday.”
A Room That Sleeps Four — and Feels Like Home
Her unit is a family layout: two single beds in one room, a large double in the master, both dressed in retro palettes — houndstooth headboard, orange feature wall, bold black-and-white stripes — with a view outside the window. The bathroom is dry-wet separated, and there is a small kitchenette with a kettle, microwave and basic cookware. “You can cook here,” she notes. “It really feels like home.” For a family weekend in Ipoh, that combination is rare at this price point.
Work, Gym and Retro Photo Corners
Downstairs, a pastel-green co-working floor with a brass ‘Co-working’ sign offers window-bar seating that looks straight out over green fields and hills — quiet enough to actually work, scenic enough that you might not. The gym is stocked with brand-new equipment. And the whole property is dotted with photo spots: a swing against a black-and-white harlequin wall, heritage arches in the lobby, and a wall of vintage rooster bowls straight out of an old kopitiam. “So retro,” as the reel puts it.
